When you join the BBA, you work to further our mission of enhancing and promoting the economic vitality of Burlington, and to assure that the City of Burlington continues as the cultural, social, political, educational, and economic center of the northwestern Vermont.
ADVOCACY The BBA is a private, membership organization that advocates on behalf of the Burlington Business community. With an eye on City Hall, we are focused on the issues that impact Burlington businesses such as transportation and parking, tourism and promotion, public safety, taxes, permitting and zoning.
EVENTS The BBA’s annual event calendar is packed with networking and education opportunities designed to empower and enhance the local business community.
PROJECTS The BBA has a long history of working closely with the City of Burlington on projects and policies to improve the business community. Projects we’ve supported include City Hall Park Improvements, Bike Path Improvements, and Burlington Town Center Redevelopment.
COMMITTEES The BBA’s committees provide a forum for discussion and action based on the needs of the business community. BBA Committee-led projects include the annual Waterfront Map and Downtown Holiday Lighting.
INFORMATION BBA uses multiple channels to communicate important news & information: eNewsletter, social media, email, and phone. We send advocacy alerts to our members regularly to ensure the business community stays up to date on the issues impacting their everyday operations.
