The Downtowner

Meet Kelly Devine

BBA’s New Executive Director

The BBA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly G. Devine as Executive Director as of December 1, 2007. For the two years prior to coming to BBA, Kelly was the real estate development manager of Champlain Valley Co-housing DC, LLC, in Charlotte, managing all aspects of the project that has funded, built and marketed a 26-home residential community.  During that time she has also been a strategic business consultant, and served as an instructor in the Women’s Small Business Program sponsored by Mercy Connections. She moved to Vermont in 2005 from Massachusetts where she served as project manager for the Island Alliance, the MASF-Bay State Games, Coneco, Corp. and The Analytical Sciences Corp.  She has an MBA degree from Babson College, and BS from Boston University.

Kelly is replacing Nancy Wood, who is retiring after 4 1/2 years at BBA.

We’re very confident that under Kelly’s capable leadership BBA will continue to represent the interests of Burlington businesses, and work effectively with the

City on important issues like parking, transportation and Waterfront development. Her knowledge of business and passion for Burlington will serve the BBA well as we celebrate our 30th year. She brings to the job a commitment to economic development that will strengthen our mission to enhance and promote the economic vitality of Burlington.

Kelly lives in Charlotte with her husband Rick and two sons. She believes that this role will give her a unique opportunity to combine her business experience with her interest in community and public policy. As she says,  “There is a lot to learn, but I look forward to the challenge. I plan to give my best to support the needs of the Burlington business community.”

Andréa Sisino, Chair

BBA Board of Directors
